since i’m curious and not sure where to look, if someone you block can’t see your profile, can they still see your signature on your posts? i feel like signatures are a big part of your profile and that could be dangerous if the person you have blocked can still have access to the links in your signature. for example, if i block someone because they made me uncomfortable they could easily just find a link in my signature to a separate site and pester me or ask why i blocked them. i’ve actually had someone use my flightrising to ask me why i foed them. i know it’s sort of an unlikely scenario, but it would make the block system feel safer without disrupting the flow of conversation on threads by removing the post as a whole.
i hope this makes sense and i would 100% understand if this isn’t possible for whatever reason.

Your signature is part of your public forum presence and can be seen by any user browsing the forums, including guests. We cannot block signatures because it’s a false fail safe; they can just log out and see it on your posts. We don’t want to advertise a service we can’t really provide, which is why we also don’t block people from seeing your posts in general. Always be careful about what links and information you share publicly. If you are having such a large problem you may need to turn off your signature on forum posts or display your stamp collection instead, so your signature is only visible to logged in, unblocked users on your profile.

No, you must be logged in to view user profiles.

I really like this change! I think this will make it a lot easier for people to be able to block people who have blocked them.
