unlocking flox with magic keys releases a burst of light or dark aura based on the floc's nature.

welcome to the flox nursery where quiet, newborn baby flox materialize out of thin air!
kits––baby flox––have absolutely no control over their levitation antics and so curl themselves up for protection.
it is advised that all new parents buy a kit-proof leash so your little bundles of joy don't float off never to be seen again.

we can tell by the look on your faces that you are all very curious about the flox reproductive system!
without going into too much complicated anatomy, flox reproduce using a highly advanced psychic signal.
when this signal syncs up between two flox, the essence of a child is created.
to give this essence physical form, the parents must be in possession of at least one keybox.

the newborn floc's key will materialize within the keybox, and the newborn itself will materialize nearby.
it is advised that all new parents recruit kit-catching helpers.

⟡ only post a form when an artist opens a slot.
⟡ all slots are first-come-first-serve unless stated otherwise.
⟡ editing your form prior to its acceptance will result in a disqualification.

⟡ a floc may breed with any other floc and have as many relationships as they desire.
⟡ incestuous and adult + kit relationships are not allowed.

⟡ on average, it takes one month for floc couples to sync their signals.
⟡ (start nov 1 --> sync + can breed dec 1; start jan 15 --> sync + can breed feb 15)
⟡ once synced, breedings may occur as desired.
⟡ once synced, there is a fourteen day cool down between breedings.

⟡ if flox wish to breed with different partners, their signals will need another thirty days to re-sync.
⟡ a floc can only be synced to one other at a time. once a new connection is made, all previous ones are broken.

⟡ to declare a sync-start date, make a public post with links or images of both the parents in the fanclub [ example ].
⟡ this post must remain unedited.
⟡ make sure to save a link to the post because a month is a long time.

⟡ flox may breed a maximum of four times and have up to four offspring per breeding.

⟡ if flox wish to have more than one offspring during a breeding, they simply need to prepare more keyboxes.
⟡ the number of offspring will equal the number of boxes prepared.
⟡ these boxes must come from either owners of the parents.
⟡ after each breeding, all kits must find a home and be given a name before another may begin.

⟡ the newborn will be a combination of its parents' patterns. however, its aura is unique and not influenced by its parents'.
⟡ the unique edits of the parents will not be passed down to their offspring, though this may change in the future.

⟡ animated versions are only available for adult flox.
⟡ kits may be grown and receive their animated versions one month after birth.
⟡ after your kit has been grown on oekaki, navigate to this thread to request the animated version.
