Range Trotters are the result of crossbreeding Orlov Trotters, Finnhorses, Welsh Cobs (section C & D) and Hanoverians. Later crosses of Quarter Horses, Paint and Appaloosas to gain color and to give a boost to their hardiness.With a height average of 13-15 hands, they're a hardy breed with characteristics for various disciplines.

Created for use as work, carriage and leisure riding horses originally, they now serve as long-distance range horses, such as work with Park Rangers and mounted officers.

Willing and eager personalities, most are quickly trained to be bombproof and therefore trusted mounts in all lines of work; some are being seen in local show jumping competitions, others are notably used in therapeutic sessions for their calm temperaments. Harness races and endurance trials are common for the breed, as they are able to sustain an extended trot without tire. Cross-Country competitions see some of the taller Trotters, but due to their cob lineage this is still uncommon.

Despite the variety of competitions and work these horses are being seen in, they are still famously skilled as endurance racers. Many competitors have chosen Range Trotters due to their tireless work ethic, as well as the ease in which they can be trained. Many have become champions in endurance trials, and they have quickly become a sought after breed for their natural ability.

Prompt: Koi is a big fan of mythology, so she took inspiration from the myth of Hades and Persephone for her escape plan. She convinced the pirates to let her go, under the agreement that she would join them again for the fall and winter months. Her argument was pretty convincing - she hates the cold weather and they sail closer to the equator during these colder months, so why wouldn't she want to go with them and escape the frosty days? (Whether or not she'll stay true to her agreement is to be determined, but the pirates believed her!)

Ever since Seastrike laid eyes on Polly the Parrot, he knew that bird was his ticket out.
She hung around the pirate captain, annoyingly quoting the same phrases like 'polly want a cracker!' and 'walk the plank!' but Seastrike observed how much the bird liked food through all of this. His legged were hobbled together by rope so he couldn't run off, and so he spent most of the day watching her. The pirates probably tossed her close to 20 crackers a day. She pecked at each and every little speck on the deck, looking for food.
One night after the pirates fed Seastrike his meal, he chewed very messily, getting grain all over his feet and lowering his head to 'itch' his front legs, smeared the mash all over the rope. Polly was very much intrigued by all this food and came over pecking at the ground, and eventually made her way to his front legs, pecking at the rope until it frayed and he snapped it off easily. Then he gave a tremendous buck, and his hind leg rope snapped off too! Polly started squawking a screeching but it was too late, Seastrike leapt off the ship and was swimming away by the time the pirates came running.

Prompt: Munchhausen escaped the Pirates in a fantastic way.
He had been dreaming about a way to escape them since weeks - a reoccuring dream! And he decided one day, that it was worth a try.
Another Trotter had escaped a few days ago in a fascinating way, utilising a Parrot. So maybe, his dream could be reality?
He carefully prepared himself and waited till less pirates were one part.
Especially, Munchhausen waited for one special team of pirates to turn up for their shift. The one with wooden legs.
After they had settled into their shift, Munchhausen crawled closer, grabbed their wooden legs and - pulled them off!
The Pirates fell on board, helpless on their backs.
Munchhausen jumped up and run towards the caged up Parrots. He grabbed two Parrots on the legs and let them loose.
And thus, they lifted him onboard and flew him right to Tortuga.
This concludes the story on the escape of Munchhausen.
