Hi Puppy! Welcome to CS c: We get new pets to adopt on the first day of every month, as well as for certain holidays like we did valentine's day. So you should check back in on March 1st at rollover. The next holidays CS is likely to celebrate with special pets is St. Patrick's Day in March (and perhaps the leap year!)

How did you find Chicken Smoothie?: I was into it as a kiddo albeit not super deeply, just enjoyed my couple of creatures but fully diving in now as an adult!
What do you like best so far?: As an artist I really feel like even though it’s a collection game, it’s also an art community in a lot of ways.
Any questions?: I’ve seen mention of people using bases in their Oekaki works, are they importing them externally into the board or is there a feature within ChickenSmoothie to bring other Oekaki bases into works? I am not sure if that makes sense but I love the fact that there’s a built on drawing tool regardless!

Hi lithoop! As far as I know there's no way to import stuff into Oekaki... However, there is a feature in the Oekaki board that allows other users to edit upon a drawing you created, and some people use this feature to create bases for others to use!

As per the FAQ, this feature is applied automatically if you create a drawing in the Editable Oekaki board:

Q: How can I post lineart for other people to color in?
A: If you post your drawing to our "Editable Oekaki" board, a link will automatically appear under your posted picture to allow people to create new drawings which are based on your drawing. You should erase the background of the drawing to transparency before you start drawing so that people can do their colouring in a new layer underneath your lineart.

To use a base someone else created, find one you like in the Editable Oekaki board and go into the associated thread. Under the drawing there will be a section labeled "Versions of this drawing that people have created recently." Scroll past that and you will find two buttons "POST REPLY" and "COLOR ME IN." If you select "COLOR ME IN" you'll be taken to an editable version of the base c:

Just remember to change the forum to post your drawing to when you're ready to post, otherwise it will outomatically go to the "Colored In" board.

I hope this was helpful but if you have any further questions please feel free to PM me c:

Thread Update

The following adopters have been accepted and will be added onto the list:

The following newbies have been assigned the following adopters:

Newbies, your adopter will be messaged shortly to notify them that they have been assigned to you, and will hopefully be able to answer all your questions. If they don't contact you within around a week, or if you're having other problems such as they're being rude to you, you don't understand their explanations, or anything like that, you can PM one of our thread mods, and we will assign you to a new adopter as soon as we can.

Our mods are;
>> AquilaFuga - axelandria - Burrito Bunny

In the meantime, I would suggest that you take a little look at the Newbie Guide & Index, if you haven't already. It has some great tips, and could help you while you wait for your adopter.

Have you helped anyone before anywhere on CS? If so, please link to the post/s: 1 2 3 4 5 6 this isn't all of them, but a few links to assigned adoptees in the past!
Why should you be allowed to adopt a newbie?: I love helping new players out! I used to be a permanent adopter, but I did not have enough time to dedicate so I backed out. I'm now much more involved again with a lot more time to spare, so I'm re-applying!
How often do you get on CS, and how long are you typically online on these days?: I'm online most of the day every day! I am consistently checking my notifs for anything important, so if I receive a message via CS, you should hear back from me in 20-30 minutes at the very most.
Did you read and understand all of the Adopter information?: Yes!
Do you agree to be helpful and polite to your newbie at all times?: Absolutely <3

    Username: daybreak.

Languages that you are fluent in (besides English): Spanish

Have you helped anyone before anywhere on CS? If so, please link to the post/s: I've been around for a while, so there are many, many posts where I've (hopefully) intervened helpfully, but here are a few examples:

Why should you be allowed to adopt a newbie?: I think I would be a very helpful guide for anyone who could find CS a little overwhelming at first. I have a lot of experience in pretty much every section of the forum, excepting the RP section. I can point out helpful threads and give trading advice. I can give pointers on the text editor, BB coding, and Oekaki. And I like to think I'm good at explaining things, as well as friendly. I'll always be grateful to the users who nurtured my experience way back when I joined the site, and I'd love to introduce someone new to all the things I love about CS and its community <3

How often do you get on CS, and how long are you typically online on these days?: I have periods of very frequent activity, and periods of lull. Right now, I've been visiting CS pretty much every day, and hanging in the forums for at least a coupe of hours amidst other activities. If I begin to slow down in activity, I will notify thread staff, like the rules ask c:

Did you read and understand all of the Adopter information?: Yes, I believe I did

Do you agree to be helpful and polite to your newbie at all times?: Absolutely!
