Fireflies are a summer bug.
A star wouldn't be visible when it's raining.
One could say a wishing star is pretty supernatural.

Kind of weird questions for the staff, using different list notations
A. Does your pup have wings, or the ability to fly, or wish to fly?
B. Does your pup have an interesting backstory? have they been through events that drastically changed their lives? Is there lore behind them?
C. Does your pup have symbolic meanings?
D. Do they have a theme song? or just a song that really matches them? or anything like that?
E. What is your pup's patron arcana? (tarot cards, whether or not you believe them, it's just like the aesthetic or something)

I haven't seen any weird questions yet, those are perfectly fine! =)

Perhaps the star wants to be a firefly...? Or the other way around?
Stars are pretty symbolic, as is the relationship between a star and a firefly, I think 👀

Many love me. Almost everybody hates me. Most stare at me in awe.

As a wishing star, it's natural that many would love it, but there might be those who would hate a star known as a 'wishing star', if their own wishes didn't come true, but nevertheless, you would certainly stare at a beautiful star in awe

If anyone needs them these are the two hints, the first being found when trading with him and the second in his sig

I have a feeling that only one of the sentences are true from each hint for Raire's pup.

Stars, in general, are very common, but a potentially magical/sentient wishing star? Not so much.
A wishing star could certainly be considered mythical, but a firefly might be considered a pest by some.

So with all that in mind...


I think it's one of these two, possibly based on Evangeline, the star Ray the firefly was in love with, or perhaps even Ray himself, or maybe even... both of them?

I also think they're likely candidates, as your past dogs have been quite simple in the puppy stage (not to say that couldn't be different this year lol).

Just saw the Dorje post, and I came up with a theory..

The staff dog has mushrooms, and you put mushrooms in your dressup. I think the staff dog is also holding a flower, and Dorje has flowers on their head. Also, 2 of your mushrooms are glowing, and guess what: the moon glows as well!

And the staff dog has a moon on it. So, is the nature staff dog YOUR dog?

saikiyo has a pet named starlight in their signature, thats the second starlight mention we've seen from them. they also posted saying their pup has a long tail and unedited ears, soo:

it COULD be this one, the folded ears are part of the base lines and used on regular adopts often so technically theyre unedited



but if they meant the *default* base ears it could very well be this pup, the swirly pattern is a lot like a galaxy, and the spots could be stars ^^

As far as the animal vegetable mineral question, funny story there were supposed to be minerals on my dog but they ended up getting cut from the design. The rest, yes, plus something else entirely.

animal (if its alive): caterpillars
vegetable (if it grows): flower and mushrooms
and the third mystery element could be the moon

A: maybe, yes, and no (but perhaps not in that order)
C: you could say that

A - i think its maybe, no and yes. i did have an explanation for this but im sorta half asleep and its gone now sob
C - moon phases or growing from a caterpillar to a butterfly? either way symbolises growth and change
