Does anybody know if any staff members have made statements regarding these past several months of "backwards" change? Has anyone asked?

Agreed. The store pets' rarities are calculated just like any other pets, so the extremely popular ones that are purchased the most (Patchwork, Raven, Gryphon dogs, and apparently these guys) can start off rare. They usually go VR within a couple of months. Although this is kind of an odd case, we aren't completely sure why some pets have been dropping lately.

What, again? Not once this year has a pet gone up a rarity. The last time when something went up was during december last year. It's getting kind of frustrating. I don't feel like trading anymore before we get an explanation why this is happening.

Yeah, you're right. Seems like the last time anything went up was in March.
