As much as I would like to write a fantastic and beautiful story for this pet, I can't. Because her story is my story.
It's one of those things that just sort of happens, you know? If you've made art before you'll know what I mean. I had a plan for this ridiculously edited thing with big ears and fluff everywhere but it didn't feel right. At first I ignored the broken bottle idea because it was so simple and wouldn't stand up to the rest of the staff litter. But I gave in and doodled it up. Then I added some hair (taking away the headfluff to get the smooth glass look was a terrible idea and needed covering). When I added the wings, I realized what I was doing.

I didn't realize it until I was nearly done, but I had somehow made a design that reflected everything I've been through this year. Recently, my offline life changed dramatically. I went through some pretty nasty things and came out a different person afterwards. I can't stay the same forever. Can't be an innocent pup anymore.

Turns out, sometimes you have to break before you can change.
And sometimes, change means that you grow wings.

I burst into tears... I know, I'm so weak DX

I do apologise if I'm rude. I tend to get mood swings often and yeah...

If you have art of the original design, I'd like to see it too! But I'm glad you ended up with this - literal and metaphorical - reflection of yourself. I'm so sorry that people have to experience rough patches, and especially that it seemed tough enough to have leaked - again literally and metaphorically - into your art, but I can see the beauty in this pet and its experiences just as I hope you can with your own. But even though we're pretty much just foreign strangers to you, we're still here for you :D Just remember your own lil quote there:

"Turns out, sometimes you have to break before you can change.
And sometimes, change means that you grow wings." - Berkshire, 2015
I'm looking for the Donner Dog from the Christmas 2010 Sleigh litter,
the Grey Husky from the Christmas 2015 Husky litter, and the
Green Field Moon 2nd Gen from the April 2011 Field Moon 2nd Gen litter!

I'm collecting the 2020 Easter bunnies designed by Anouki. They're based on a
Japanese pottery technique where items are repaired by glueing the pieces back
together with a (typically) gold lacquer. It's called "kintsugi" and the idea behind
this is that broken things can still be beautiful, a mantra that has helped me cope
with the latest years of my depression. I've been saving up for a tattoo, to be my
first one, which will also be fashioned after kintsugi. That's why this design holds
a lot of sentimental value for me and, consequently, why I'm setting up a hoard
for them: to remind myself that even though I'm still struggling now, I will get
better. Please help me with this hoard. Thanks for reading. ~Love from Moony

The substance inside is pretty ambiguous, so call it sand, liquid, sap, or whatever you like!

That and this song have been stuck in my head, heh.

Berkshire, That spoke to me, and the quote, made me cry, I posted it in my sniff in honor of my friend, who pushed through the impossible and broke, She changed, But she managed to pull through. And when times were hard, and she couldn't break and change, she then grew wings and took off. Thank you, Berkshire.

I agree, mostly because I'd rather have the option to put on different wigs than to have a set hairstyle though. That said, it really is a beautiful dog! ; v ;

Honestly I love her.
Also I noticed the heart area was the main crack ovo

Love the inspiration behind this wonderful pet so heartfelt.

EDIT: She's now named "Caramelized Angel"
I couldnt help myself to dress her up so she looks more happy now ♥
Her friends came and brought her flowers and cake^^
Oh and did you realize the little fish in her body?

And it reminds me of an old poem of mine:

The sad tears piling up
falling down your cheek.
Why cant i cheer you up?
When i see you this weak

Why am i feeling so sad?
I cant do anything for you,
this feeling drives me mad.
I dont want to be feeling so blue.

I want to wash your tears away
like the falling night rain.
You decided your way,
but it ended in pain.

I promise, i´ll be there all time,
never leaving from your side.
lets take shelter under this pine,
remembering how hard you tried.

The night now comes to an end
and the sun wakes up again.
Im sitting next to my dear friend,
taking away all the pain.

I want to wash your tears away
like the falling night rain.
You decided your way,
but it ended in pain.

Watching the changing clouds
the tears stopped falling down.
Walking again on these roads
back to this sad, sad town.

I waving a last goodbye,
getting a smile in return.
Looking up at the blue sky
i feel my relieved heart burn.

I had washed your tears away
like the falling night rain.
You decided your way,
now it never ends in pain again.

Seeing the rainclouds blown away
a smile shows up in my face.
Looking up to a wonderful day
i walking with a fast pace.

I could cheer you up
that brightend up my day
Sipping from my coffee cup,
hope you will never go astray.

I had washed your tears away
like the falling night rain.
You decided your way,
now it never ends in pain again.

Watching your bright smile
sharing the happy times
Waiting for the night rain
to wash our tears away
We will never go astray
and never feel this sad again
Feeling our friendships strong ties
and walking together mile and mile

So, in a strange way, she is a phoenix after all. Thanks for giving that background. It makes me admire her even more.
