Guide To *Nice* Trade Rules

Well, I guess we can get feedback on our rules here, I guess?
I just re-did my rules, will it scare people off?

1} Please send fair trades!

2} I do not trade items and pets! Sorry, but I don't like the idea of trading things you've paid yourself.

3} I will most likely cancel trades with no message!

4} Please don't use chatspeak.

5} No begging, please!

6} I will not look through your pets! I'm sorry, but I honestly don't like it when people just say 'edit' with nothing on their side.

On rule 2, did you mean to say "I do not trade store items and pets" ?

Welcome to my trades!

I have a few rules, please follow them =)

Do NOT send trades for pets that are not in a "trades" group.
If you DO, there are two ways that I will react. In case you...
*1: ... have offered nothing/something I already have: CANCEL
*2: ... have offered a wishlist pet: I'll consider trading it away

All Groups with an "X" in front of the name are hoards. That means: I always apreaciate hoard pets as addition to trades, but I will NOT overpay for those pets (which are not worth a lot.)
All Groups with an "Y" in front of the name are trade groups, so feel free to offer on them =D

Please keep in mind: I will NOT give anything for a pet just because it's on my wishlist. It still has to be fair.

Send open-ended trades ONLY with message. If there is no message with open-ended trades, I'll cancel them.
Oh, uhm, "Hi" is not a message. So please something more... Ok? =)

I'm most likely NOT to trade my items. If you want some ASK before sending a trade.

I'd recommend changing the bold red text to "Sorry, but I will cancel trades that ignore this rule"
And maybe on the first rule change it to: 'Please do not ask for' Rather then 'Stop asking for' to make it sound less harsh.

Thanks for the suggestions! I edited my rules, and you're right, they look nicer while still being clear about what I want.

Hmm. Maybe to make the first rule a little more clear you could put something like "Please do not offer on pets outside of my Trades group unless you are offering a Wishlist pet" instead of what you have there now.

Maybe change :
"That means: I always apreaciate hoard pets as addition to trades, but I will NOT overpay for those pets (which are not worth a lot)"

To:

"I always appreciate hoard pets as additions to trades but I probably won't offer very much for them."

And next part to:

"I would love to trade for pets off my wishlist, but please keep in mind I will not overpay for them.

Feel free to send open-ended trades but please include a message with them. If you do not include a message, I will most likely cancel.

I am not particularly interested in trading any of my items, so please message me first before offering on them."

I just think you shouldn't write long rules. There are so many people who don't bother to read long sentences. Sad but true...

Yep. Here are my trade rules and people still don't pay any attention.

I can't make this any simpler. Read this junk and follow it!

Offer something with about same month & rarity!
DO NOT ask for a 2008 for something from this month!

Don't edit offers I send back, I will cancel!
If I've bothered editing, that's what I want. Period.

I don't trade items unless there is more than one!
I have no problem buying things from the store, but please PM me about trading for C$!

I only want wishlist pets!
Pets not in my trade groups are not for trade, so don't ask!

And, honestly, that's the nicest I can put it without people walking all over me even more.

Thanks for making this.I always didn't know how to put ''don't offer commen pets'''in a nice way,thanks to your list I made this ''Please don't offer commen pets,it won't really add to your offer and I already have so many myself.'' Hope this sounds better then ''Don't offer commen pets'' ^^

Meh. I'm not to big on being unkind or too kind, so I make my rules blunt and I don't 'beat-around-the-bush". They aren't too bad though, are they?

[Fanciful's Rules for a Successful Trade!]

+ Never beg me for pets. I have no obligation to you. This will result in you being placed onto my Foe List.
+ Please make the trade fair for both you and me! If you aren't sure, check the pet rarities, which you can find when you go to trade them.
+ Adoption groups are temporary, and I never have them for long, but they are just that - pets for free adoption.
+ In addition to my Adoption Center note, my Trade Pets are just that - pets for trade. Not for free.

[Some Helpful Pointers]

+ If You offer several (say, three and up for an uncommon) commons for an uncommon, please make them pets off of my wishlist. I'll be more likely to accept.
+ Place all of the pets that you want in a single trade, and all of the pets that you are offering in that same trade. I don't like wading through several trades from the same person.
