What about "commonly mistaken store pets" like the purple sleipner?

I agree! And perhaps a note about how their rarity tends to fluctuate? A lot of people believe that they are guaranteed a VR when they purchase a store pet.

I'm surprised this guide was never created before, it's very helpful!

Seasonal, i was surprised too, when i saw there was no collective guide with em all in there.

If you guys remember prices and if they were set only pets, let me know. Im thinking about adding what they cost when released?

I've done research and I know a few of the prices!
Skeleton Bunny: 35C$.
Orange cerberus: 44 C$.
Drink me & eat me: 25 C$ each and could only be bought separately.
Liontails: 20 C$ each if bought separately, could be purchased as a set for 50 C$ (you save 10)
Seal pups: same as the liontails
Brown Sleipnir: 20 C$
Red Cerberus: 20 C$
Androids: 20 C$ each for the red, blue, yellow ones--, could be bought as a set for 60 C$, The green one was pack-exclusive and could only be purchased if you bought the set
Punks: 20 C$ each, could be bought as a set of 60 C$.
Apparently, the lolita was not pack-exclusive. I haven't seen anything about that.
Raven: 25 C$
Patchwork: 25 C$
Marionette: 25 C$
Clockwork bun: 25 C$

unfortunately I only know the prices of the list pets, since they're the only ones I've done research for-- I was very interested in how the price of each store pet seemed to also affect its list placement and that just makes me trust the list even more:3

October 2014:

This is what I call them

Magma/Fire Dragon Cat --- Earth Dragon Cat

Water Dragon Cat --- PPS Dragon Cat (bonus one)

December 2012 Two has the names of them. The Cheshire Cat was the bonus.

February 2014 The PPS was the bonus

June 2014 I don't think there are official names for them, but I have always called them the Robot Cat Set: Grey/White Robot Cat --- Blue Robot Cat --- Black Robot Cat

Does anyone know how often store pets are released/when the next set will come out?

Store pets are released every two months (this would be a good note to add to the front page!). Since the current set was released in February, new pets are expected to be released at rollover on April 1st
