Great choice of eye colour as well, absolutely adorable. :D

Okay, I might be way off base here, but I keep hearing this dog get called "marble dog" ect.
I'm like 89% sure it was confirmed to be a mirror.

but hey, I'm probably wrong xD
Love today's growth!

A mirror? What on earth does that dog has to do with mirrors? o.O
It definitely looks like marble to me, both stages too.

The artist based the design on a mirror.

It was based off the idea that what we see in the mirror isn't always what's really there. It's got a twist to its adult stage, but I won't say what.

All the new growths are adorable! I can see character in them, too. I like pets like that.

Hmm. I don't know what to think of this one. I wasn't really expecting to like it.
It's pretty, definitely. I like its eyes and the concept behind it. Not one of my favorites, but yeah, very nice.

Speaking of favorites, these are mine.

Ricorn's dog is really unique. I didn't know what to think of him when I first saw him, but he grew on me pretty quickly while I was dressing him. He reminds me a little bit of a kirin. Chia's dog is beautifully done, as always. I love her coloring style, so it didn't surprise me in the least that her outcome was among my favorites right away.

There are more that I really like, but I won't go into that or else this post will turn into an essay.

I'd just like to say that this litter definitely exceeded my expectations. Like a lot of others, the color scheme wasn't my favorite, and admittedly I really didn't like the look of the newborn stage. Most of the outcomes were pretty impressive, though, and the colors don't bother me at all now. C:

It's more about symbolism, really. The dog had these cracks in it. Cracks in a mirror. Flaws we see when looking at ourselves.
Yet the adult dog has inverted colours, which could mean that either it changed so much, or that the flaws have overcome the positive sides because of a long life of doubts and fears. Because afterall, growing up is filled with doubts and fears, while you never have too much to worry about as a child. It's almost like a story, really.

In my opinion, anyway.

I really liked the staff litter this year, especially because green is my favourite colour.

Since we're discussing favourites, I think I might as well share mine.

This has been the best year of staff pets ever! (I'm really happy there was no PPS personally >.>)

I loved every single outcome, not a complaint on any. They were all so unique and beautiful in their own ways, may they be simple or complex. It was a joy to await for every new growth everyday. Thank you staff for putting so much time into this. Even those of you who aren't apart of the artist staff, you did an excellent job!

I guess that makes sense in a way X3

But I think I'll continue to call it marble... 'Cause that's what it looks like^^

have you gotten the PPS? or do you still have one pup left that haven't grown to something?
I wanna know! c:

No,not always will the staff do a PPS pup in the staff litter. The first time they started this there wasn't one. It's up to them to decide if one or more of them will do one or not. :) It's quite a nice change to see this litter without one as you get a nice surprise at the end stage.

I think it looks like marble too..... Pandle didn't actually say it was supposed to be a mirror, just about what we see in the mirror.
The adult stage is kind of a mirror image of the 2nd stage, in that the colors are opposite. I like DoctorDraca's explanation though. :)
