I think you need small explanation, though it's unnecessary complicated, so beware. xD
I was trying to make something with small folk accents, that's why she had a folkish flower "tattoo" on her back, it reminded me embroidery, so I added a needle and thread and decided she will be a tailor. Folk-punk tailor. She got name T. Fanny-Taylor F. Tailor. However needle, thread and that flower didn't look good together, everything was overloaded and she ended up more simple.
The scissors on the puppy are just remains of the idea above. I've seen few stories from your childhood when you cut off your hair and yes, this was my inspiration too [I've never done this, but my brother lost his angelic curls when he was 3]. In my head she lost this braid when she was trying to sew first time. Plus, puppy without scissors looked empty to me.
And yeah, she is like a growing up teenager!

I've noticed that as well- I've seen people auctioning them off, I haven't seen that before with unknown rarities. They must just be really popular.
