Can someone tell me if this face looks ok. Idk it looks off to me

hi! I think the main issue is with the muzzle (?). The line you drew connecting the muzzle to the face is a straight line. To make it look more 3D and foreshortened, you just have to break it down into simple 3D shapes and use more curved lines! (I have very little experience in canine anatomy asdfjkl; but that's the general idea!) It also helps to understand the planes of a wolf's head! Hope that helps!

@ paluumin - OMG! That looks so much better. I have some anatomy classes that I haven't started yet cause the instructors voice is soothing and put me to sleep..... I will totally take your advice thanks so much for the help!

@hansolid - okay, thank you! I may take you up on that offer. Lighting is tough, I struggle a lot with that and shadows. Since I was mainly sticking to fine art realism and working from refs with grids last year, I understood it a bit better but still lack it in my current pieces.

I've started working on this drawing of a new OC, and I tried to line the sketch on the right but I was wondering if there was a way for me to improve it more? I wanted to step back from this anyway because I started to feel like I couldn't look at it objectively. Thought I would share.

I'm also struggling with getting the likeness to match up- wondering if there's any differences I'm missing

Huh this is pretty awesome! Just a 2 minor things about the sketch if you wanted to really get ALL the details c:
1-the bottomish top side part if the ear should be bumping outward just a little bit, but this is a reaaallly minor detail
2- I just think maybe in you should define his jawline a bit more, well actually kinda his whole face? His head just should be a little more defined is all I think you captured the mOoD very well!

Other than that, it’s SUPER GOOD! The way you made the eyes and mouth was really similar yet in a completely different way, and

Oh wow that is really beautiful, I love the pose mixed with the outfit to create a very pointy aesthetic to it. The outfit honestly is just so cool^^
