Elk Mange / Mange

Around 5 years old.

Elk Mange is a peacemaker who lives in Japan. In return for his somewhat gruesome past, Mange now spends his time trying to soothe fighting or restless spirits. He calls for hurting spirits by ringing the bell on his neck. They only come if they want to, sometimes he has to find them.

Anywhoo, about his history. Elk Mange used to be named Elk and Elk only. He travelled with Nanashi for a while, hunting demons blindly. He had no idea what he was doing with his life, he only followed Nanashi's orders. He killed no spirits in his time with Nanashi, but he could have. His career spirit hunting ended when he and Nanashi were being chased by an upset demon. The demon had intentions to kill them both. Mange was running as fast as possible, but soon hit a weak spot in the ground that caused him to fall and hurt his leg. The demon came upon him, but just as he was prepared to take Mange's life, he realised Mange was not a truly bad character, just a confused animal. He let Mange off with a curse; a mange of the insides. The mange would only be kept under control if Mange helped spirits around him. Once he helped so many spirits the curse would be lifted. If he failed to help spirits, the mange would take over and consume his body.

From then on Elk decided to go by the name Elk Mange. He travels around Japan now, seeking spirits who need his help. He usually keeps his mange under good control, but every now and then it will become visible that he is ill. He continues to look for the last spirit, the one that will heal him.

Elk Mange is a very dedicated and kind coyote. He is not as confused as he used to be, although he can still battle with himself sometimes. When he feels ill he can get into rather dark and depressing moods, but it doesn't take him too long to realise he needs to go out and help something. He's very patient with spirits and is willing to put a lot of effort into helping them. His help can include simple things like scaring humans away from their river, or more complicated things like land disputes between the spirits. He is held in high regard by most spirits because of his assistance.

I just got art of my pokesona. This is Vixen. She's a Vulpix and she has a big white bow around her tails. She doesn't just think she's better than you, she knows she's better than you. She's pretty and cares more about her appearance than her friends. She's really sweet and cuddly, so long as she's the center of attention.
