Artist Custom Rules
One out of every 10 Mutatoes you design may be a custom
You may gift these to friends
These custom slots may not be bribed, bought, or auctioned unless you have Akami-chan's explicit permission
Yes, this means you may have more than 5 Mutatoes
However you may not gift Mutatoes to non-artists who already have 5 Mutatoes
Selling Mutatoes
-full artists are allowed 1-in-20 to be for sale
ex. (premade designs like auctions)
-customs for sale must overlap with the artists' 1-in-10 custom
ex. (as in a customer requests a specific design)
-Artist must have at least 10 designs made to be eligible
ex. (#11-20 (1 for sale) #21-40 (1 for sale) #41-60 (1 for sale) etc.)
-Raffles are not available yet
Deadlines.
We've been having an issue with Mutatoes that go unchecked and unjudged.
From now on you are allowed to be 1 day late for closing or extending forms. If you do not end on the day of or the day after the deadline, we will end or extend it on the second day after the deadline for you.
Ex. Your end date is January 1st. The last day you can end or extend is January 2nd. If you do not end it on the 1st or the 2nd, Tsukiko or Akami will end it for you on the 3rd.
You have 7 days to judge the forms after they've been closed. If forms are not judged within this week, then a winner will be picked for you and posted on the 8th day after forms were closed.
Ex. The judging period is from January 4th to the 10th. If a winner is not chosen and posted within that time, then a winner will be chosen for you and posted on the 11th.
After that you have another week to edit your drawing to add the Adopted Ribbon. Failure to do so within the given time without a suitable notification will result in removal from the team due to inability to respect deadlines.
Ex. You have from January 12th to the 18th to add the Adopted Ribbon. If you are unable to, then you need to notify Akami or Tsukiko. If you fail to add the ribbon or notify either admin, then you will be removed from the team.

Special Announcement.
Number guessing and any random guessing games for Mutato contests are banned. If I see any artist doing these they will be removed from the team.
Any kind of "form criteria" that doesn't have a deadline (i.e. number guessing, scavenger hunts) are banned.
Concerning Runner-ups!
If your design has 35 or more finished applications, then you may award runner-ups if you deem it appropriate!
Runner ups should be posted from the MAIN Mutato thread (this one) and numbered accordingly
RU's should resemble the original without being an exact copy. Design alterations as well as color alterations are acceptable as long as the general theme and motifs remain the same.
Only one RU may be awarded per design.
A link to the RU design should be placed in the first post of the original mutato design.
Please award these responsibly. Any abuse of this option will result in a warning and then a removal from the team.
How to color a Mutato
Upon opening the base file, you will see five layers named:
Title (remove), Divider, Eye (Rmr to Lock), Top (Rmr to Lock), Bottom (Rmr to Lock)
Here are tips on successful designing: viewtopic.php?f=38&t=1886299I will explain what to do with each of the layers
- First, make sure you have Lock Alpha checked
There should never be a time where you need to turn off Lock Alpha
- Remove the Title Layer
Self-explanatory
- Choose ONE SOLID COLOR for the eye color
Color in the white semi circle at the left of the canvas on the Eye layer
- Use the Top layer to make a design for the TAIL of the Mutato
Please note that not all of your design can be used
- Use the Bottom layer to make a design for the BODY of the Mutato
Please not that not all of your design can be used
- DO NOT USE BLACK and avoid super dark colors
Dark colors make viewing the lines difficult
- Make sure the design on the body and tail are noticeably different
Having both designs the same makes the overall adoptable boring
Once you finish your design, post it and wait.

All adoption forms go in the first, intro post
Forms must include Username of the person
The name of the Mutato
And another criteria that you add
