Kalons-- a species with soft manes and even softer hearts.

Monitored in forests across the globe for years, these animals
have recently been declared naturally tame as well as sapient.
Scientists are asking the general population to consider adopting
Kalons for further study in their capabilities of intelligence.

Their shining tails are used for identification and showing off,
which is helpful when spotting another Kalon from afar. This
association with other Kalons is why they are head-over-heels
for any shiny or colorful item that they come across!

Who are they trying to impress?: Brennan isn't necessarily trying to impress anyone, more so trying to make his best friend, Eldon, laugh. See, Eldon is a guitarist in a new band, and the gig that they booked recently bailed on them so he has been moody all morning. Brennan, being the jokester that he is, loves to make kalons laugh and is doing so by prancing around ridiculously with a rose in his mouth, pretending to salsa dance with a ghost. Eldon cracks a smile every once in a while, but Brennan won't stop until he's completely out of his mood.

Who are they trying to impress?: Well they try to impress many people. A few examples would be their parents, their friends, but most importantly they're trying to impress...wait for it...their deceased grandparent. He never really got along well with his grandfather. They'd always get into arguments about the smallest things whether it be what the correct way to brew coffee was, or what the real colors of the Olympic rings were. (His grandfather was color blind. The last words that his grandpop told him before he died was that he wouldn't amount to anything. Those words stung like the dickens to him, but he wasn’t going to let that get him down for good. Yeah, he was completely torn and cried about it several times a night, but he kept moving. At the end of every day Alphonse would go to his grandfather’s grave site and drop a flower each day that he accomplished something. “I hope you can see me up there Pop” he would say. Then he would proceed in telling the stone what he’d accomplished that day whether it be helping ducklings cross the street, or helping a lost child find their parents. He was going to prove him grandfather wrong. He will impress him by what he’s done. He’ll amount to something in this world even if it kills him. Word Count: (219/300)

chewed up each morning - he's beginning to expect it might actually be his roommate who's eating the
flowers - but he refuses to give up until he has struck a deal; mainly because his False Indigo flowers are
starting to bloom and he would hate for any one to fall sick, regardless of their negative intentions
