What are Zodiac Dragons?

Zodiac dragons are wolf-dragon hybrids that possess magic. They're said to be descendants of the original zodiacs who were pure dragons. Each zodiac has a house (zodiac sign), and all zodiac dragons belong to a house. You can identify which house they are in by their pendant they wear which displays their house's symbol. Zodiac dragons are mostly wolf, with dragon tails and intelligence. They also get their feathers from their dragon ancestors. Each dragon's magic relates to what house they are in, with their feathers almost always matching the color of their magic. Common dragons have base elemental magic from their house; fire, water, air or earth. Some dragons possess two types of magic but these are extremely rare.

Rules

General Respect

♦ Respect the staff and other members of the community. Staff are just as liable.
♦ Do not harass/beg other users for gifts, breedings, etc. You may ask, but a no is a no.
♦ Do not poke at, bug, or otherwise harass other users within the community.
♦ If you receive three warnings, you're banned from the thread.

Adoption and Ownership

♦ Do not claim the lines or the species as your own.
♦ Do not remove the signature.
♦ Do not make changes to your zodiac dragon without written permission from Gazoonia.
♦ You may own up to 15 dragons, 5 of which can be customs.
♦ No trading or selling your zodiac dragon.
♦ Do not take them off-site without referring back to this thread.
♦ Alert the artist if you wish to put your dragon up for re-adoption.
♦ Respect artists in adoption. Do not harass, beg, or whine. This includes posting after the end date.
♦ If you are caught using CS / DA accounts to cheat more dragons, all dragons will be revoked or resold immediately. This earns you an instant permanent ban. To avoid this, let me know of all accounts you plan on adopting from and keep to your limit.

OC'ing

♦ Dragons may be treated freely as an OC in terms of personality, sexuality, etc.
♦ They may be used as fursonas.
♦ They are typically monogamous but may be polyamorous.
♦ Do not change your dragon's anatomy.
♦ Do not add accessories without the artist's permission.
♦ Do not add accessories that are extreme or mimic anatomy. If confused, ask.
♦ No public non-child friendly material involving zodiac dragons.
♦ Feel free to create fantasy/anthropomorphic versions of your dragons; however, respect the wishes of others in roleplays (i.e. you can have a telepathic dragon but don't try to enter a realistic roleplay with it).

Creation

♦ Only zodiac dragon staff are allowed to create designs or customs.
♦ You may not create a custom without a custom or MYO ticket.

Community

♦ You need Gazoonia's written permission to make a public thread. Personal threads (e.g. OC lists, 1x1 RPs, etc.) are fine.
♦ You are in charge of said public threads and making sure users are qualified to take part.
♦ Stream hosts will be held responsible for not taking action on any bullying/etc that occurs in their stream. If you are hosting a stream and notice harassment happening in your stream's chat, kick the antagonists from the stream and please report to a staff member.
♦ Your thread may have its own rules that you may enforce so long as they do not defy any rules listed here.
♦ Users may be banned from specific threads in particular rather than the whole community (partial-bans).

Exchange

♦ Dragons may not be traded or sold.
♦ You may only sell dragons that you bought for currency (DA points, C$, $, etc.) and only for equal or less than you bought it for.
♦ If you wish to disown a dragon please contact Gazoonia and the creator of the dragon. You may host the re-adoption yourself or let staff handle it.
♦ Dragons may be gifted with the permission of the receiver, the archivist, and the notification of the original artist.
♦ If the original artist is unavailable or cannot edit the original post, Gazoonia will comment with a "stamp of exchange" with details concerning the new owner.
♦ Tickets and potions may be traded, sold, and gifted freely.

Exchange Cooldowns

♦ There is a 30 day cooldown between dragon transfers concerning two different users. If you recently sent a gift to a user, you cannot receive a gift from the same user for 30 days, and vice versa. This is to prevent people trading dragons by claiming that they're 'gifts'. Gifting multiple dragons at once may surpass this if they are gifted all in one transaction.
♦ A dragon cannot be gifted away if it has been obtained within the past 30 days (adoption, gifting) unless stated in the adoption form (e.g. "If I win, I'd like to gift this dragon to ___")
♦ A dragon cannot be gifted away if it has been bred within the past 30 days.
♦ Disowning a dragon for re-adoption does not count as a transfer.

Breeding

If you violate any of these rules, you will earn either one strike against your name or a ban (temporary, permanent or partial) depending on the seriousness of the situation. If you receive three strikes, you will be banned from the species (again, temporary, permanent or partial depending on seriousness).

Artist Guidelines

♦ Should make 1-7 designs a week.
♦ When a winner has been picked you must strike out the form and end date, and write the username of the owner and the name and gender of the dragon.
♦ No crazy neon messes. Bright colors are okay, but neon designs should be approved.
♦ Feathers and magic must match (special cases allowed, speak with Gazoonia).
♦ Must have a zodiac symbol.
♦ All posted adoptables must say which house they belong too. No exceptions.
♦ Contests can last no longer than four weeks.
♦ You cannot have more than five adoptables running at a time.
♦ You may make an edited dragon for every five unedited.
♦ You may have one custom dragon.

Whenever someone wins an adopt send me a message with a link to its page and it's owner so I can update the archives!

Guest Artist Guidelines

♦ You must make 5-7 designs during your month.
♦ Follow all regular artist guidelines.
♦ You are not allowed to make any customs or nursery batches.

Sagittarius: The necklaces that the Sagittarius dragons wear wields holds turquoise pendant.

Base Element: Fire

Zodiac dragons with the base element of fire can control fire at will. They can set anything on fire and manipulate fire through the air without touching it. They can even evaporate the moisture from anything, heat things up, and spread flames further. Zodiacs with this element get cold easily and typically don't like cold or wet places.

Cancer: The necklaces that the Cancer dragons wear wield a moonstone pendant.

Pisces: The necklaces that the Pisces dragons wear wield a red coral pendant.

Scorpio: The necklaces that the Scorpio dragons wear wields a bloodstone pendant.

Base Element: Water

Zodiac dragons with the base element of water can control water at will. They can create ripples and waves in water and move water through the air without touching it. They can even make it rain and take water from the air, plants and other things with small amounts of moisture in them. Zodiacs with this element typically don't like warm or dry areas and get dehydrated easily.

Libra: The necklaces that the Libra dragons wear wield a diamond pendant.

Aquarius: The necklaces that the Aquarius dragons wear wield an opal pendant.

Base Element: Air

Zodiac dragons with the base element of air can control air at will. They can create strong winds and bursts of cool air. They can even move things with air and glide in the air for short periods of time. Zodiacs with this element don't like to be cramped indoors or underground and get cabin fever easily.

Capricorn: The necklaces that the Capricorn dragons wear wields an onyx pendant.

Taurus: The necklaces that the Taurus dragons wear wields an emerald pendant.

Virgo: The necklaces that the Virgo dragons wear wields a yellow sapphire pendant.

Base Element: Earth

Zodiac dragons with the base element of earth can control earth and nature at will. They can make plants grow tall in a matter of seconds and heal plants that are beginning to die. They can even manipulate plants to move as they want them to, and move rocks and dirt without touching it. Zodiacs with this element prefer to spend time outside and tend to feel claustrophobic when they spend too much time indoors.
