      I'm able to stay on top of the game with my novel when I write short chapters.

      I can't stand it when they drag on and on.
      Most chapters I write are anywhere from one to ten pages, depending on what's happening.
      Both chapter one and two for Fairytale are no more than two pages (150 words a page).

      Somehow, it really helps.
      I feel more accomplished then getting stuck in the middle of a chapter.

Good for you. I don't do chapters, I don't know why. I just don't.

I see what your saying. My first two chapter were 1. twelve pages (one word document page that i count as two pages in a book) and 2. eleven pages ("). I feel highly accomplished when I finish a long chapter, but short chapters could also help. Sometimes I just dont feel like its a good place end so soon for mine.

And everybook has chapters I think so you might need them

I guess I just write it, and I could split it into chapters later, but since I have never finished a book, I haven't had the need to.

The chapters in my novel are almost all around 10 pages, obviously with some variation.

@NCISaddiction,

I'd definitely suggest doing chapters, if you're planning on getting it published, it's kind of the accepted novel format I guess. xD It's hard to go back and split it up, as chapters tend to be almost separate segments, and it ends up being kinda choppy if you do that (I know from experience.)

Eh. I've never even thought about publishing anything and whenever I try to make things into chapters they always seem way to short! I don't know why but I've always thought of chapters as longer than I write and it freaks me out! I don't know why!

Yep, and sometimes I want to skip into a next chapter as the chapter I was writing wrapped up enough to go to another chapter, but nope, the chapters are too short. XD I guess I could have short ones if I want to, but, y'know, reading 50 chapters in a 300 page book isn't good.

Which is why chapters freak me out. So I guess I just don't do them.

Okay people of this forum, so I have my writing issues. My worst one is that I get really bored if something isn't happening. For example something must be happening at all times (like a violent fight or somethin) and I can only go like one page before another thing has to happen or I'll just stop writing. Anyone have any suggestions?
