Welcome to the Critique Cafe



I've noticed a lot of people needing critique on their forms for various adoption centers and the like. So instead of spamming the center where it's more likely to get flooded I decided to open up a place just for critiquing. It's still in the works so please bear with us if it's a little disorganized.

Looking for critics to help this place up and running! Critics should be able to read and post helpful reviews for those needing help on their forms in a timely manner and possibly be open to be taking critiques via PM.

Feel free to edit these forms to your liking minus the color, The color is there to tell critics at a quick glance if you need help on a form or something else. Add some things remove some things, whatever helps get or give the best critique.

A few rules to remember

1. Please don't repost your form unless it's a new edited version that you want more critique on.

2. Anyone is free to critique a form, but please be be respectful about it.

3. Don't freak out if someone doesn't give you a glowing review of your form. I won't hesitate to report you for it.

4. Please remember to either delete the request or strike it out once the deadline for your form has past or you are no longer working on the writing piece.

A place where I'll post some questions that are repeated.


Q:Why would I want to get my critique posted here?

A: So others can also learn from it by reading it and so maybe others will want to help add their own two cents in and you can receive more critique for your buck.

Q: Why a Critique Cafe?

A: I thought it might sound nicer than "The Critiquing Center" and I'm a bit tired of reading the word Center on the forum.

Q: Will you be critiquing my form?

A: To be honest I doubt it, I'm not much of a writer. However fellow writers will, along with some generous people.

Q: Can I post a form for critique even if it's not finished?

A: Sure, as long as you have a decent amount of writing done it should be okay.

Q: My form isn't being critiqued!

A: Sadly there's more of a need of critiques than there are people willing to give them. But I cannot stress enough that I believe people should work together and critique each other's forms to help this problem.

Q: Can I post a form of writing that's not a form for an adoption center?

A: Yes you can actually. However I do believe that forms with a deadline have higher priority on critiques. But you are welcome to post a story or something of the sort.
