A virus has infected the dogs, now that humans have gone. What will Flash do, now that there are very few dogs in her group? Fight, she thinks. But what else is going on?
I'd never thought I'd see the day. My paws flying across a large key board, heart beating, eyes wide with excitement and fear. My fur bristling with anger and my skin gone cold. So many feelings mixed in when the humans have gone and a zombie virus has infected dogs now. What to do, I don't know. But I hope we can think of something good.
Chapter One
"Flash, we have a problem." A large, brindle greyhound barks.
I turn my head and look at Tiger, who was looking out the window. I'd best not ignore him, he has better eyesight then any of us, "What Tiger?" I walk up next to him, "Again? How many times do we have to do this?" I sighed, "We just cleared this house!"
Tiger sighs, "Look, just, get everyone, ok? Unless you wanna die!" He woofs, worry filled his voice. I turn, ears back and dash upstairs where the others are, "Max, Snow, and Splash, we gotta go."
They look up from their game of chess, Splash being the "judge." I snapped at them, "Now!" They jumped and scrambled about the room, grabbing the bag and jammed all the stuff in it. The four of us tumbled down the stairs, halting to an annoyed Tiger, "This no joke, guys!" Suddenly thumped started and Snow screamed. I stood tall, now shaking, "Back door, now." All three of us ran out, back packs bouncing against us. Tiger jumped into the car and we followed him. He started the car and drove off quickly. We all breathed a sigh of relief, "That was too close." Snow barked, her fluffy white tail back to normal size. I nodded, speechless and pulled out my laptop. Free Internet connection was sweet. But not when you have thousands of zombie dogs around you.
"Weird, I have no connection." I tap the screen with my tan paw, "Come on."
"Well, we did leave the house and we are in the middle of no where so..." Snow shrugged.
"I hate this. Why did it even have to start?" I whined.
"We don't know, Flash. I wish we knew, though. I would feel a bit better." Snow petted her tail. The white husky was quite skittish but had toughened up a but after a few zombie attacks. She's deadly with her bow and is great at making arrows for us to share. Tiger basically sleeps with his gun, and Max and Splash own a sword each and an ax, in case one or the other gets lost. I look at Splash, "You okay? You haven't said anything." The long-haired Weimaraner shrugged, fiddling with her sword, "What if...what if we don't survive this, Flash?" Her grey eyes looked at me, shiny with tears.
"We will survive this, Splash. I will do whatever it takes to get you guys through this."
