[Nocturnal Creatures]

Hi guys!

Well as you can probably guess this is where I will post my poems! As I come up with new poems more will be added so keep an eye out! Also if I ever create a poem in school or for school it will probably also get posted here.


Rules:
1. Criticisim is allowed and greatly encouraged.
2. Try not to be to mean as many of these poems are first attemts and may chage in time.
3. If someone else disagrees with you please don't argue with them.
4. Follow all of Tess's rules. (duh)

[Nocturnal Creatures]

War:

I see, I see the rain falling down,
And the men ahead collapsing to the ground,
I see, I see bullets flying through the air,
And cutting through the bush.

I hear, I hear the sound of guns,
The sound of rain thundering on the ground,
I hear, I hear the captain's battle cries,
And the sound of many mens final breaths.

I smell, I smell the wet soft mud,
And the smell of death and decay,
I smell, I smell fire and ashes,
And gunpowder from freshly fired guns.

I feel, I feel the rain on my skin,
As it bites and chills me to the bone,
I feel, I feel the men behind me rushing forwards,
And the soft wet mud beneath my feet.

I taste, I taste the death in the air,
Of men lying dead around me,
I taste, I taste blood in my mouth,
As a bullet cuts right through my chest.

I fall, I fall down to the ground,
And land with a silent thud,
I fall, I fall into the mud,
And know my time will soon be up.

I see, I see the others fall around me,
Men I knew and friends of mine,
I see, I see the end of battle,
The enemy has won and we are no more.

The Leopard:

Original:

Golden pelt of sunlit flames,
Dark rosettes of nighttime games,
Fangs that tear and pierce the flesh,
Claws that rip through iron mesh,
In his forest of snow and ice,
He can never afford to be that nice,
In the gloom hi amber eyes shine,
As he hunts the prey that runs out of time.

[Nocturnal Creatures]

The Monster Within Me

A silent shadow creeps across my mind,
Wrapping it's tendrils around me,
My heart is cocooned within its darkness,
As the monster rages within me.

My dark eyes flicker around the room,
And my sharp pointed teeth are bared in a snarl,
My claws grow out as I think of killing,
And causing pain and suffering.

As I pace back and forth no kind thoughts cross my mind,
I know that I must get my revenge,
On all those who tried to harm me,
And let them know what it was like to have your soul ripped out.

Anger boils under my skin as the monster fight to get out,
I have no control over it just the way I like it,
I let it control me and flow through my veins,
As it breaks into my heart and mind.

I hear the snarling and cries of pain,
Memories of my past,
I close my eyes enjoying it's malice,
Never regretting a moment.

As I walk away towards my enemies dwellings,
My fangs grow sharper my claws grow longer,
I am now entirely myself,
The monster is ready to attack.

I hear them scream and hear their cries of pain,
Now they know how I felt,
My fangs are dripping red with blood,
As I feast on those who destroyed me.

I see you looking up at me your eyes full of fear,
And as I raise my claws to kill you you cries out in terror,
It snaps me back and the monster is startled,
I can't have you afraid of me.

I back away trying to hide the thoughts of death,
I try to become myself again as the monster fights back,
You walk over to me wairly and rest you hand on my shoulder,
I look up at you my eye full of sorrow.

The monster rages inside me trying to break free,
I fight it down and press my lips to yours,
My heart starts racing when you are this close,
And I hear the snarling within.

My soul is gone but my heart still exists,
I can't do this without hurting you as the monster tries to break free,
For it is always there darkening my thoughts,
The monster within me.

[Nocturnal Creatures]

The Hunter

Silently stalking his prey through the night,
A hunter prowls with all his might,
The dark doesn't stop him,
The leaves make no sound,
He could catch his prey in one single bound,
He gets closer and closer but then he stops,
As his prey glances up and looks around,
The hunter freezes and crouches to the ground,
They prey looks down and continues to eat,
Unaware that his death may be near,
Suddenly in one mighty leap,
The hunter plunges his teeth in deep,
He looks up and his spots blend with the trees,
Now he has no hunger worries,
His dappled coat glows with pride,
As the mighty leopard need not hide.
