RIP Saphie
I listened to what a wonderful world by israel kamakawiwo'ole throughout drawing this, the song just reminds me of her.
I'll miss you baby girl....
Died of a cancerous tumor in abdomen... She had to be put to sleep...
She was a 12 year old Black Labrador put to sleep on 25/4/13
Bless her heart for making my days on this planet the best I've ever known...
If she was here right now she'd be snoozing in the sun.

I came home from school to find one of my dogs very ill... we rushed her to the vets and she had a few blood tests which revealed she was anemic ( Iron deficiency ), although- the vet did further tests and found her amount of Iron to be fine. The vet advised us to leave her there for a bit and come back later in the night, by the time we got home it was around 10pm, we were back for about 20 minutes before the vet called and told us she had internal bleeding in her abdomen... due to Cancer. We rushed over and got there about 11.30pm ( We had to wait for my dad to come home so we could all go ) we got to the vets to find my little girl in her bed and really heavily panting, the vet told us she was doing this because the internal bleeding was putting pressure on her lungs, the vet told us our options... we decided it was best for her to go to sleep, we've had her since I was 4 and I have lost pets in the past but I don't think its ever been this sad... I stroked her and told her I loved her and the vet injected two tubes of electric blue liquid into her forearm... within seconds the vet told us she had gone, I thought the overdose would take a few minutes to take effect but it was literally over in around 3 seconds. She was gone... Her eyes were still kinda open and she was so warm, she looked as if she was still asleep ( you know when dogs fall asleep with their eyes half open- it was like that ) After about 10 minutes of seeing my family cry and I've never ever seen my dad cry ( Her and my dad were so close ) I stood up and exited the room, with my mother... after a few minutes my dad followed. Shes gone forever- I'll never ever see her again Who would have thought I'd come home from a completely normal day of school and then for that to happen.
The worst part of it all was being told she was going to die... she went so peacefully and I... i don't even know how to explain how much I'll miss her... She was so likable, she'd always wag her tail when I came home from school and then that evening she just lay on the floor... breathing heavy and being sick.

Sleep well baby girl, I'll never forget you.
