CHRISTMAS IN SUCROSE CITY
by Mabel_Pines
The holidays were near, the whole town well-dressed
But the City of Sucrose seemed oddly distressed
The trees were a-twinkling, the garlands were a-glow
Still the townsfolk frowned for the absence of snow...
Yes, it'd been several years since this happened last
And those were the worst of the Christmases past
So how to deal with this glaring mistake
In the Christmas day party they planned to create
Oh, the glittering gumdrops that lined all the streets
And the peppermint palace for Santa to greet
The gingerbread jumble now just a weak game
And when eggnog was poured, it just wasn't the same
The charm was now gone, it made quite the plight
Could it only be solved by a snowfall of white?
The citizens, oh, how they tried to make do
With yummy wreaths, ornaments, candy canes, too
But the disappointment still had them askew
You would have also been sad, wouldn't you?
Then, "Christmas wrecked by weather? Never!"
Came that call from a curious Cupcake the Clever
She was a dragon of fiery and festive display
Who resolved at that moment to save Sucrose's day
Flying up to the mountains that sparkled high above
She gathered up something and soared down with love
There the good pets all gathered gave a great cheer
And declared it to be the day of the year
For Sucrose City's Christmas was now a hundred times sweeter
Because who needs snow when you have lots of powdered sugar?!
