Abandoned Fawn

A mysterious glow flittered about the large poppy meadow, temporarily lighting up petals as it passed by various flowers. It soon came across a strange dent in the stems, and caught it's attention; what had disturbed the grass?

A small fawn with large ears laid sleeping next to the poppies, a marigold and lily chain on it's fragile head. It snoozed quietly, before the glowing orb noticed a basket filled with beautiful flowers, foreign to the scarlet poppies.

'Please take care of my little girl. Her ears will be made fun of in the herd, and I cannot allow that.

The name had been scratched out, making it different for it to recognize the mother's name. Poor thing, she was lost in the great world; more importantly, the most dangerous meadow in the forest.

With a flash, the fawn and orb were gone.
