When marimba rhythms start to play,
Dance with me, make me sway
Like a lazy ocean hugs the shore,
Hold me close, sway me more...
Other dancers may be on the floor,
Dear, but my eyes will see only you
Only you have that magic technique
When we sway, I go weak!
Something I find funny about songs is how, no matter how many times you've heard a song, it suddenly becomes so much BETTER to you if you can connect it to something in your life or something you care about. I've had this song on my playlist for YEARS as one of those "Yeah, it's pretty good" list-filler songs. However, I got into a new fandom recently (about ten years after its heyday. Why. Why must I like old things.), and there's a scene in it where my favorite couple in the series absolutely KILLS it on the dance floor to hollers of approval. Suddenly, this old song I've got reminds me of that scene, and I can't stop listening to it.
