- The Mormont Equine Society is a recently founded group dedicated to the conservation and promotion of two closely related modern British breeds; the Mormont Pony and the Mormont Sport Horse. These two breeds find their origins in a number of European stock, with the intention to create versatile horses capable of outclassing their predecessors.
The Mormont Equine Society (MES) oversaw the creation of the Mormont Pony breed in the early 20th century and originally consisted of only a few hobbyist breeders. By the 1950's the MES became nationally recognised and numbers had grown exponentially as the developing two breeds garnered interest. The MES now holds a number of shows annually and keeps a record of all registered horses. More recently, they have also been given the responsibility of controlling feral Mormont populations through rehoming programs.

our rehoming program. I'm Lin ─ I'm in charge of making sure things
run smoothly around here. Some of these Mormonts are rehomed from
the wild, and others have been owned before but need a new home,
so we facilitate their sale.
Take a look around! You can inspect our available Mormonts, check the
registry, or find out more about the history of the breed. Stick around
and you'll discover the benefits of being a part of our society!
