Ryder's story is very simple for a shelter, having been surrendered to us when they were only barely a year old due to them just being too timid in a personality for the family home. The unfortunate disinterest continued until we decided to place them with a foster to try and build their confidence over time. Now that they've gained their confidence and playfulness, though still with caution, the foster seemed to have really bonded with them and we decided its best if they stay with the foster to keep trust and prevent further heartbreak. Truly a sweetheart.

About Ryder - Ryder still shows through some of their nervousness still in the form of caution and slow trust, but otherwise has become confident and playful with any and all they're comfortable with. They're incredibly loving and an absolute cuddle bug, whining when the covers arent up so they can curl in with their owner. Their favorite activities are playing fetch one on one and snuggling in bed under the covers.
