This is a redline for What the Neff.
First, I know your wolf has hair on it, but I didn't draw it for the sake of showing the face better-- and because I really just do not liked drawing wolves with hair. Personal preference.
Alright, so the first thing I noticed is that your wolf is VERY long. Shorten up the body a bit there.
Also, the back of your wolf caves much too much. If you look at this skeletal drawing-- http://wolfdog.ws/assets/images/autogen/a_Skeleton.jpg -- wolves have a bit of an upwards bend in their spine. So while the rump is in the air, the back should be a little straighter before a very small dip, and then the raised rump.
The line for the end rib cage should be brought up more, as well.
Unless your wolf is gripping onto the edge of a cliff, its paws should not be curled. They need nice big, but slightly squished don't paws to show that they are placing down their feet. In fact, their toes are more likely to be pointing upwards.
This guy shows the paws squishing really well-- http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/c ... n_Wolf.jpg
The anatomy of the hind legs should be a little more pronounced. Round the knee a bit more, and make the curve at the back of the thigh much more extreme. Also don't be afraid to make those hind paws big. They're not as big as the front ones, but there are very large. -- http://sikaris.deviantart.com/#/d349kow -- that reference is not only good for paws, it's great for just anatomy in general. A WONDERFUL reference.
As for the face, the snout should be much longer, and the eye smaller, more wolf-shaped, and closer to the snout. The ears should be MUCH smaller. You may be making a unqiue character with large ears, but those are MUCH too large. You have a fennec fox going on their. The ears also belong just at the back of the head, following the jaw line.
There should also be much more fur around the neck. Wolves have like a MANE of fur.
http://browse.deviantart.com/?q=wolf&or ... 44#/dq87ll -- You can see a sort of line of fur that define the ears from teh jaw line here.
http://lupinicious.deviantart.com/art/E ... ious&qo=94 - LOOK AT DAT MANE! xD
Also, the tail should be a little smaller, and raise if the wolf is acting playful. Tail length to fall into the range of personal preference, however.
Reference a lot, and practice all of the time! You can NEVER have too many references! CB
I hope this helps! : D
